Wolves boss Glenn Hoddle has revealed that the chances of landing MK Dons striker Izale McLeod are slim.
Hoddle had indicated that he will be trying to bring in a new front man in the January transfer window after another wasteful display by his forwards in the 2-0 defeat to Coventry on Monday.
However, MK Dons are desperate to hold on to their biggest asset and have rejected an initial offer from Wolves, leaving Hoddle to accept that he will have to turn his attention elsewhere, for the time being.
"We've made a bid of £600,000 for Izale but until Dons get realistic about his value, it's on the back burner," said Hoddle.
"Until we get more clinical in the final third, we'll continue to under-achieve. We've now reached the point where players have to take a look at themselves and start performing."
