Wolves won't budge on Izzy

Glenn Hoddle has confirmed that Wolves have been chasing Izale McLeod.

Glenn Hoddle has confirmed that Wolves have been chasing Izale McLeod.

Although the Black Country club's interest in the MK Dons striker has been widely reported, this is the first time that the club have actually confirmed the identity of their target.

The Dons recently turned down a £1.3 million bid from the Championship outfit and Wanderers chairman Jez Moxey says that his patience is wearing thin.

"If they come to some reality then the deal might get done but if not then we'll look elsewhere," he told the Wolverhampton Express and Star.

"We won't be making an improved offer because what they're asking for is unrealistic."

Meanwhile, Hoddle has been impressed by Hungarian trialist Denes Rosa. The Ferencvaros star has been on trial at Molineux and the Wolves boss says he likes what he has seen so far.

"Denes has gone back," he revealed, "but we will have him watched again at the weekend when Ferencvaros have got their last game before their league shuts down for the winter.

"He is one of a number of options that we are looking at. We will have him watched before the Hungarian international players from their home league go to America for an international."
