WOLVES reportedly missed out on the signature of Internazionale midfielder Javier Francisco Farinos before the transfer day deadline.

Sources in Italy claim the 25-year-old, who spent part of last term on loan with Villarreal, rejected the move to England.

It is unclear what the precise details of the deal with the Nerazzurri were, but it has been suggested the move may have been on a loan basis.

Farinos' future at the Giuseppe Meazza is uncertain, after failing to land regular football following his move from Valencia in the summer of 2000.

Following Wolves' poor start to the Premiership campaign, manager Dave Jones has been scouring talent in which to bolster his Molineux side with.

The club did make two late signings, bringing in Joey Gudjonsson and Hassan Kachloul on loan from Real Betis and Aston Villa respectively.
