WOLVES have pulled the plug on their proposed move for Cameroon goalkeeper Carlos Kameni.

The Premiership new boys had hoped to take the Le Havre ace on a season-long loan with the view to a permanent deal.

The 19-year-old has also attracted the interest of French side Bordeaux and Wolves have withdrawn their interest claiming that the young shot-stopper failed to convince them he was committed to the move to Molineux.

Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey revealed that the move was now dead and they would look elsewhere to bring in new signings.

"After further discussions with the player and his representatives, we have decided to withdraw," Moxey told the club's official website.

"We won't be pursuing the move any further as we have doubts over Kameni's commitment, and we don't intend to sign anyone for Wolves who is less than one hundred percent committed to coming here."

The decision leaves the road clear for Bordeaux to sign the African after he impressed on trial at Parc Lescure.
