Real Betis striker Ruben Castro has played down talk linking him with a move to West Brom, saying he will stay at Betis even if they are relegated.
Castro has been strongly linked with a move to West Brom to be reunited with former Betis boss Pepe Mel at the Hawthorns.
Mel is thought to be a big fan of Castro and has been tipped to make a move for the forward in the summer.
However, Castro insists he has no plans to leave Betis even though they seem almost certain to suffer relegation from La Liga as they sit rock bottom of the table, ten points adrift of safety.
"Of course I'll play with Betis in the Segunda (second division)," Castro told the Spanish media.
"I will stay at Betis, I'm staying here regardless.
"Although my salary will be reduced, I intend to stay. We haven't done things as well as we should, but we have to take care of this club."
