Cheltenham midfielder Kemar Roofe has opted to return to parent club West Brom after two months with the Robins.

The 21-year-old, who made nine appearances during his time with the club, told manager Mark Yates that he would not be extending his loan spell and would return to The Hawthorns in an effort to impress new boss Pepe Mel. "Kemar wants to be in his manager's eyes as he is near the end of his contract," Yates told the club's official website. "He wanted to go back and there is no point in me keeping a player here who does not want to be here so we move on. "The loan window opens back up on Friday so it's possible we could move for another loan player when it does reopen."
