West Brom boss Steve Clarke said it was a point well made rather than two lost after the 1-1 draw at Aston Villa.
Shane Long had put the visitors in front early in the second half but Darren Bent levelled with ten minutes left to earn Villa a share of the spoils.
"I think it's a good result," the Baggies boss told Sky Sports 1. "We came here expecting a difficult game and that's what we got.
"We're disappointed because we went ahead in the second half and controlled the game for a good spell.
"We then created a few half-chances for the second goal but we were pegged back and it finished 1-1.
"We're a little bit disappointed, the players are disappointed in the dressing room because we didn't get the three points.
"Overall I think we have to be happy with our efforts because, having been disrupted a little bit with injuries, the team performance was really good."
