Chesterfield lose on-loan defender for final few games

West Bromwich Albion have recalled young defender James Hurst from a loan spell at League One strugglers Chesterfield. Hurst joined Chesterfield in January and was due to spend the rest of the season with John Sheridan's side, but has been summoned back to West Brom. The 20-year-old made 13 appearances in all competitions for the Spireites and started last month's Johnstone's Paint Trophy final win over Swindon Town. His stint at the B2Net Stadium was a third loan spell of the season after he made two substitute appearances in the Championship for Blackpool at the start of the campaign. Hurst also featured nine times on loan at League Two side Shrewsbury Town and has made three first-team appearances during his West Brom career. The right-back could now figure in Roy Hodgson's plans for the final few games of the season, with the Baggies all-but safe from the threat of relegation.
