Craig Dawson has signed a contract extension with West Brom keeping him at the club until June 2015.
The 21-year-old has broken into the Baggies' first team this year after spending the previous season on loan at his previous club Rochdale.
But, after starting seven games for Albion and notching four goals in five appearances for England in qualifying for the European Under-21 Championship, the defender has been rewarded with a new deal.
Albion boss Roy Hodgson was delighted that Dawson had committed his future to the Hawthorns.
He told the club's official website: "Speaking not only personally, but on behalf of everyone at the club, we are all very happy Craig has committed his long-term future to the club.
"Since he joined up with the team at the start of the season he has been very impressive, both in training and games.
"We believe he has got a very bright future as a Premier League player and it's nice that Premier League future is going to be with West Bromwich Albion."
