Keeper to remain at Roots Hall for a second month

West Brom goalkeeper Luke Daniels is to spend a second month on loan at Southend, the League Two club have confirmed. The new agreement will allow the 23-year-old to take part in the Shrimpers' FA Cup first round tie at Preston on Saturday. Daniels arrived at Roots Hall in late October as cover for the injured Glenn Morris and has so far made four appearances. His initial agreement was due to expire on 26th November but the latest deal with Albion means he will now stay at with the fourth tier outfit for the majority of the hectic Christmas period. Daniels' availability for the weekend provides welcome relief for manager Paul Sturrock, who was facing a selection headache this with Morris (thigh) and back-up Daniel Bentley (back) currently on the sidelines.
