Southend have signed goalkeeper Luke Daniels from Premier League club West Bromwich Albion on a one-month loan deal.
The Shrimpers were in the market for a stopper after Glenn Morris was ruled out for up to four weeks when he picked up a thigh strain in the 4-1 win over Torquay. Daniels, 23, is familiar to Southend's current coach Graham Coughlan as the two played together at Shrewsbury where the goalkeeper made 44 starts. He has also had loan spells with Motherwell, Tranmere, Bristol Rovers and Rochdale.
