Nicky Shorey believes West Brom are finding their best form despite drawing away at Sunderland last Sunday.

Defender accepts tough challenge ahead

Nicky Shorey believes West Brom have regained their best form going into the Black Country derby against Wolves despite throwing away a 2-0 lead to draw at Sunderland. The Baggies scored twice inside the opening five minutes at the Stadium of Light on Saturday before Nicklas Bendtner rifled the ball home and then teed up Ahmed Elmohamady shortly after for the Black Cats' equaliser. Albion go into their next match on Sunday 16th October two points shy of opponents Wolves who have lost their last four games, with left-back Shorey positive West Brom are finding their form. "I think it was one of our best performances of late," he told the club's official website. "We passed the ball really well and caused them a lot of problems, to be honest, especially in the first half. And in the second we were quite comfortable. "It felt more like us. It felt more like the way we normally play with the way we were knocking the ball about. "We see all the time in training that the lads have quality on the ball and we showed that at Sunderland, which bodes well for the future. "I played against Wolves last year and it's a big game for everyone concerned. "Like always, we really want to win the game. "It's a tough division, it's the best league in the world and it's exciting, so it's hard to keep clean sheets and play well. "But that's what our ultimate goal is."
