West Bromwich Albion have snapped up former Arsenal youngster Jamie Edge on a one-year contract.
The 17-year-old midfielder left the Emirates Stadium by mutual consent earlier this summer and will join the Baggies' development squad.
He played a couple of times during pre-season and West Brom's sporting and technical director Dan Ashworth hopes he will continue to progress.
He said: "Arsenal let us have a look at Jamie for a three-week period during which he played in two reserves games and a couple of youth team games.
"He impressed us with his ability on the ball, his discipline and willingness to improve.
"Therefore, he has earned himself a one-year contract and the chance to progress his career here."
Edge joined the Gunners in 2009 from Cheltenham Town and made one appearance for the club's reserves during his time in North London.
