Cameroon star plays down knee fears

Eric Djemba-Djemba said he is 'mad' with West Brom after he claims they tried to sign him for a cheaper fee because he had injury worries. The Baggies had agreed a £1million fee with the midfielder's current club OB Odense however the ex-Aston Villa man claims they offered a reduced price after suggesting he had a knee problem. The Danish side eventually pulled the plug on the move and ordered the 29-year-old to return to the club. "I'm really mad at West Brom. They tried to cheat OB and tried to get me cheaper. It is not fair," the Cameroon international told the News of the World. "OB had demanded a price that West Bromwich had accepted. But they changed the price. That is not right, especially as it's a lie that I still have problems after my injury. "I have been examined by several physicians in Denmark, who have all said it looks good. "And why would OB send me to England if they knew there was something wrong with me?"
