Real Mallorca have rejected West Bromwich Albion's bid for Borja Valero and Oscar Trejo, according to the club's president.

Reports in Spain have claimed that the Baggies are keen to sign Valero and Trejo, along with Mallorca team-mate Nunes.

Spanish midfielder Valero is valued in the 6million euros (£4.7m) region, while Argentinian striker Trejo would cost 5million euros (£4m).

Both players have release clauses in their contracts, but Mallorca president Vicente Grande has shunned West Brom's initial offer.

"The English club have presented us with an offer, but we have rejected the chance to negotiate," Grande told IB3 TV.

"Mallorca is not interested in the departure of these players at this moment.

"But the club would not be able to avoid their exits if West Bromwich Albion paid the money which is in the clause in their deals."

Both players are understood to have impressed Baggies boss Tony Mowbray in last week's friendly between the clubs at the Hawthorns.
