Midfielder glad to be back home

Abdeslam Ouaddou has snubbed a host of English clubs to rejoin Nancy in a reported €2.5million (£2million) deal. The 29-year-old, formerly of Valenciennes, has penned a new four-year deal with the Marcel Picot club, having reportedly turned down offers from Premier League new-boys Stoke and West Brom. The Moroccan international was also linked with newly-promoted Hull City and Scottish champions Celtic, but the central defender wanted to move back home to the club where he began his footballing career. "I have received several different propositions from English clubs where I could get more money," he told L'Equipe. "But I wanted to come back to Nancy because it is my home. "Now I am happy to be back. It is up to me to find again a position in the group," added the ex-Fulham player.
