West Brom have agreed to sign Kim Do-heon permanently, but will not be signing Bostjan Cesar.
Danek also staying at Hawthorns, but Cesar goes back to Marseille
West Bromwich Albion have agreed to sign Kim Do-heon permanently, but will not be signing Bostjan Cesar on a long-term deal.
South Korean midfielder Kim joined the Baggies from Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma earlier in the year and made seven appearances last season.
He has now accepted a two-year contract at the Hawthorns, with a fee of £550,000 agreed, and Baggies boss Tony Mowbray expects Kim to make a greater impact in the Premier League next term.
"I'm now looking forward to working with Kim next season," Mowbray told the club's
official website.
Undoubted talent
"His loan spell was all about settling into a new club and culture, but he's got undoubted talent and he'll have a more significant part to play next season."
Mowbray has also decided to extend the loan spell of goalkeeper Michal Danek, who joined the club in January from Viktoria Plzen.
Danek will stay at the Hawthorns until 1st January, with Mowbray then having the option to turn it into a permanent arrangement.
But the West Brom manager has opted against signing Cesar after the on-loan Marseille defender made 24 appearances last season.
"Bostjan's a good man," added Mowbray. "I just feel we should be looking down other avenues now.
"He played some very, very solid games for us and played an integral part in our promotion, but these are the decisions I've got to make."
