West Brom skipper Curtis Davies has laughed off reports he was involved in a bust-up with boss Tony Mowbray.
Reports earlier this month claimed Davies and Mowbray were involved in a heated argument with one another.
Mowbray rejected the suggestions and now Davies has moved to rubbish the rumours.
"I don't know where some of these stories have come from," said Davies.
"I've had texts telling me we're supposed to have had a bust-up which is ridiculous because I've never had any crossed words with the gaffer.
"People are going to try and cause unrest in our squad because they can see we've sort of fallen away. That's the way it is when you're one of the top dogs.
"Everyone wants you to fall down and at the moment we're not showing top-dog status but we're confident enough in each others' ability to know we can improve."
