Zoltan Gera admits he is finding it tough to accept life in The Championship with West Brom.
The Hungarian is one of the brightest talents at The Hawthorns, having proved his class over the last couple of seasons in the Black Country.
Gera struggled with injury as West Brom slipped out of The Premiership last term and he admits it is tough having to ply his trade outside of the top tier.
A host of Premiership clubs have been linked with the 27-year-old and he has admitted he would relish a return to the top flight.
"Many people ask me how I can live on with the fact that I play in The Championship," Gera told his personal website. "I must admit that it's quite difficult for me.
"I've stressed many times that I would like to play in The Premiership, because I think I should be there.
"I know that many clubs are interested in me from the Premier League and it affirms my conviction.
"Of course it's hard to deal with a situation like this, because it doesn't matter if I wanted to play in a higher division if my club officials had decided that they wouldn't let me go anyway."
Although admitting he is unhappy in The Championship, Gera has assured the club's fans that he will not shirk the issue.
"I'm a professional player and my club is very important for me and anyone who knows me can confirm that football is so important for me," he added. "That's why it's evident that I'm trying to do my best in the games.
"Of course I'm not happy about this situation, but I try to think positive. I've never thought of persuading my bosses by any tricks to let me go.
"I know that I could have legal or illegal chances to force my sale, but this is not my style. I think the last two rounds [in The Championship] proved how I'm thinking.
"I've told all concerned parties that I want to leave, they know that I'd like to play at the highest level and they made the decision about me as they were aware of all these things.
"I accept it and do my job, but nobody can expect me to be satisfied with the present situation."
The Baggies, meanwhile, have been credited with an interest in Dinamo Zagreb's Brazilian striker Duda.
The 23-year-old has caught the eye of a number of clubs with his impressive efforts in Croatia and Albion are believed to have had him watched, but they are likely to face stiff competition if they make a bid.
