West Brom have handed a professional contract to goalkeeper Luke Daniels.

West Bromwich Albion have handed a professional contract to goalkeeper Luke Daniels.

The 18-year-old has been at The Hawthorns for two years after joining from Manchester United.

He has now done enough to earn a one-year contract with an option for a further season.

"I'm really pleased to get my first pro contract," Daniels told the club's website.

"I worked hard last year and I can progress from here now.

"I played quite regularly for the reserves last season and I'm chuffed to break into the first-team squad.

"We've got some great goalkeepers here and hopefully I can keep learning from them.

"I'm aiming to play regularly in the reserves again this season and see where I can get in the first team set-up."
