West Brom boss Bryan Robson has vowed to do everything in his power to retain the services of Nathan Ellington.
Ellington only joined The Baggies in a £3 million deal from Wigan last summer, but the move turned sour as he could not prevent Robson's side from slipping out of The Premiership.
The vultures are already circling, with Wigan chief Paul Jewell admitting he would welcome Ellington back to The JJB Stadium.
Robson is aware Ellington is likely to attract admiring glances this summer, but feels he could play a key part in their bid to bounce back.
"I signed him because I think he will score a lot of goals for us," said Robson.
"He can be a massive plus for us in The Championship."
