Jonathan Greening admits West Brom can not afford to lose at his former club Manchester United on Saturday.

The Baggies' defeat to Arsenal on Monday night left the club a point from safety with just two games remaining.

Greening believes West Brom performed admirably against The Gunners and is chasing a repeat display at Old Trafford.

The midfielder acknowledged it will be a special occasion for him this weekend but he concedes it is a game West Brom must not lose.

"We have to get something from Old Trafford now," said Greening.

"It is a hard place to go to and all the other teams fighting against relegation will be looking to see how we get on.

"But if we can put on a similar performance to the one against Arsenal and hopefully sneak a goal, who knows? We'd take that."

West Brom's trip to Old Trafford is live on Sky Sports 1 and Greening hopes the evening kick-off will be to the team's advantage.

He added: "With the United game being later, we will go into the match knowing how the other teams have got on.

"In some ways it is a difficult position but, as far as I am concerned, it is all in our own hands now.

"It would be ideal if Crystal Palace and Southampton drew. We've already discussed that."
