West Bromwich Albion striker Lee Hughes has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving and failure to stop and report an accident.

The 27-year-old was arrested on Monday following a collision in the West Midlands in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The striker has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving - which could carry a custodial sentence.

There is also a second charge of failing to stop and report an accident, and the player will appear before Coventry Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

Douglas Graham - a 57-year-old passenger in another car - was killed in the incident.
