WEST BROM and Crystal Palace are interested in signing Rotherham striker Alan Lee.

Rotherham boss Ronnie Moore revealed to that the two Division One rivals had made calls regarding Lee's availability.

Moore is determined to keep Lee at Millmoor and is currently in talks with the Republic of Ireland international about extending his stay.

Lee, who scored 16 goals last season, has just one year to run on his present deal and Moore fears that a top club may prise him away from Rotherham.

"I have a little enquiry from West Brom for Alan and Crystal Palace have been sniffing around him, but as yet there have been no bids," Moore told

"I am in talks with him about a new deal and I am desperate to re-sign him.

"He has just a year to go on his contract and I fear that he may sit tight and move on a free to a bigger club.

"He is away on international duty and if he impresses there are sure to be bigger clubs after him.

"If he is offered a big deal we will not be able to keep him."

Moore is also in negotiations to extend the contract of first-choice goalkeeper Mike Pollitt and he is hopeful of agreeing something with him.

"I am also in talks to try and keep Mike Pollitt and I am hopeful of getting him to extend his stay," added Moore.
