WEST BROM boss Gary Megson is still looking to improve his squad for their first season in The Premiership, and has now cast his eye over Crewe's Rob Hulse and French defender David Di Tommaso.

Hulse is one of the latest youngsters to come off the Gresty Road production line, and is expected to leave Dario Gradi`s squad following their relegation to Division Two.

The 22-year-old has been linked with moves to several Premiership clubs before but Megson is looking to swoop for him to bolster his newly-promoted Baggies squad.

Megson is looking to get more goals to keep his side in the top flight, and Hulse is one of his targets, along with former fans` favourite Lee Hughes.

West Brom have also been credited with an interest in French full back Di Tommaso from Championnat side Sedan.

The 22-year-old, signed from Monaco, had been linked with a move to Middlesbrough last summer, and also attended a trial at Blackburn Rovers.

Neil Clement currently occupies the left back slot at The Hawthorns but Di Tommaso would present another option for Megson, although the arrival of another left-sided defender would rekindle rumours of dead ball specialist Clement moving on.
