Snodin eyeing Wembley trip

Glynn Snodin has challenged Preston's players to leave a personal legacy by reaching the Johnstone's Paint Trophy final at Wembley.

North End discovered they will travel to Oldham in the last eight of the Northern Area section after seeing off Shrewsbury and Port Vale in the previous two rounds at Deepdale. Should they defeat Lee Johnson's Latics, the Lilywhites will be just two rounds away from a date at the national football stadium in early 2015. "We said to them in the first round, it's a big prize," said assistant manager Snodin. "When you're a player you want to play at Wembley, no matter what competition it is. "If you can say to your children, your grandchildren that you've been there, you've played there, you've won a trophy, it's fantastic. "If we can hopefully get there it will be a great day out." Snodin's thoughts were echoed by left-back David Buchanan. He added: "Some people change their teams a lot at the start but there's a trophy to be won. "If we can get there I don't see why we can't take that."
