Burton Albion have signed Preston North End striker Stuart Beavon on a three-year deal.

Beavon initially joined Albion on a season-long loan during the summer but his contract with North End has now been terminated by mutual consent, allowing him to move to the Pirelli Stadium on a permanent contract. The 30-year-old has made a promising start to life in League Two, scoring two goals in his first five appearances - including the winner against Exeter. "Stuart has been one of our most influential players since joining in the summer and I'm really pleased that he's committed his future to us on a longer-term basis," said Burton boss Gary Rowett. "Everyone here has seen his ability and what he brings to the side, and hopefully it's a sign of things to come throughout his time with us."
