Preston defender Scott Laird is hopeful of making his return to the first team before the end of the season.
The 24-year-old made a return to full training at the weekend after being sidelined with a broken leg since November. And the defender is hoping he can force his way into boss Simon Grayson's plans before the campaign finishes at the end of the month. He told the Lancashire Evening Post: "We're just under four weeks away from the end of the season, and who knows, I might get a place on the bench before then. "I won't make any promises about that, but in an ideal world I might sneak in there. "But the team has to come first, even if we're only talking about 10 minutes at the end of a game then I'll have to earn that right."
