Doncaster Rovers have extended Iain Hume's loan spell from Preston North End until the end of the current season.

Rovers boss Dean Saunders indicated last week that the club were close to agreeing a deal to keep the 29-year-old Canada international at the Keepmoat Stadium and he confirmed a deal had been done after the 2-1 win at Oldham on Boxing Day. Hume, who has a year remaining on his contract at Preston, joined Doncaster at the end of August. He has made 20 appearances since his arrival in south Yorkshire, scoring four goals.
