Accrington Stanley have completed the signing of Preston North End teenager Luke Clark on a free transfer.

The 18-year-old midfielder, who has put pen to paper on a one-year contract at the Crown Ground, began pre-season training with his new team-mates this week. "I'm delighted to sign," Clark said. "Everything about this seemed like the right move. It's all about playing football and that's me. I'm here to get a place in the side and hopefully play some football. "The manager wants us to pass the ball as much as we can and who wouldn't want to be a part of that? That's what stood out for me when the manager told me his plans for the season." Clark made his Preston debut last season in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy against Rochdale, stepping up to score the winning spot kick in a penalty shoot-out. He then made three starts for North End in League One and the FA Cup. Early in his career the youngster swapped Everton for Preston and is now looking forward to the next chapter in his career.
