Rovers offer defender to new deal to fend off interest
Sky Sports understands Tranmere Rovers face a battle to keep hold of full-back David Buchanan this summer.
Buchanan has enjoyed a superb debut campaign for Rovers scooping the club's Player of the Season award as well as the Goal of the Season prize following his arrival from Hamilton.
The 26-year-old made 44 appearances in all competitions for Rovers and played a key role in their surge up the table after Ronnie Moore took over in March.
Buchanan's consistent performances have not gone unnoticed with a number of Championship and League One clubs keeping tabs on the player as they look to bring in a new left-back.
Tranmere are keen to fend off the interest in Buchanan by offering the defender a new deal as they look to secure his future at Prenton Park.
