Mellor glad to be back at Preston

Preston striker Neil Mellor is enjoying life back at the club following his loan spell with Sheffield Wednesday.

The forward hit 20 goals for the Owls during his time with them last season but the South Yorkshire club ultimately endured a disappointing season, finishing 15th. He has continued his fine goalscoring form since returning to North End, bagging six in eight matches, and declared himself pleased with the atmosphere at Deepdale. "Sheffield Wednesday are a big club but things didn't work out. We finished 15th in League One and you can't take too many positives from that," Mellor told the Daily Star. "But there's a real feel-good factor at Preston at the moment. "The gaffer's come in, he believes in me and everyone wants to play for him."
