Morecambe have released winger Adam Rundle in order for the 26-year-old to find regular first-team football.

The former Rochdale wide-man joined the Shrimps in July 2010 but was limited to just nine starts at the Globe Arena and ended last season on loan at Gateshead. The player was in the middle of a two-year contract but has reached a deal with the club to release him so he can find a new club. Shrimps manager Jim Bentley said: "Adam is at an age where he wants to play first team football regularly and I couldn't guarantee him that this season. I can understand his ambitions and I would like to wish him well in the future."
