Motherwell star Chris Humphrey has revealed he played through the pain barrier to help his side through to the Scottish Cup final.
The in-form star passed a late fitness test to take his place in Stuart McCall's starting XI as Motherwell overcame St Johnstone to reach the Scottish Cup final against Celtic.
Humphrey, who has attracted the interest of a number of Premier League clubs this season, was delighted to play his part in the sem-final after fearing he would miss the Hampden Park showdown.
"I am absolutely thrilled that we have managed to make it through to the final but really we are only half way to what we feel we can achieve," Humphrey told

"It is true that even on Thursday I couldn't walk after the injury last week.
"I had to get a lift back from the physios treatment as I couldn't get in my car to drive! I was looking at possibly having to go to casualty at one point as my leg just kept swelling up and there was no chance I was going to be able to play.
"But the team have been working with me constantly and they performed a miracle managing to get me on the park. It really was a case of only knowing I could play two hours before the game. "
Confident
Humphrey is confident Motherwell can give Celtic a run for their money in the final, but he is focused on finishing the SPL season well before the showpiece final next month.
"We have such a good team spirit here I just hope we can do the fans and the management justice in the final - but to be fair we've got to keep on doing what we can in the league to finish as high as possible and not forget about that," added Humphrey.
Motherwell skipper Stephen Craigan scored his first goal in five years in the fifth minute of the semi-final and Humphrey was delighted to see the defender get a goal.
"I'm chuffed to bits that Craggs got his goal and started us off," continued Humphrey.
"He's a top pro and a leader from the front and lets hope we can push on that one step further for evryone involved with the club.
"Hopefully we can keep a fit squad together and the one thing we can promise is 100 per cent effort to do the best we can. I would say 110 per cent but my maths says that's impossible!"
