Leeds have bolstered their squad on transfer deadline day by landing Paul Huntington and Alan Martin.
Huntington and Martin have both joined for undisclosed fees and manager Dennis Wise clearly has one eye on the future with the pair aged 19 and 18 respectively.
With Rui Marques and Matt Heath as Leeds' only recognised central defenders and Casper Ankergren as Wise's solitary keeper, it was obviously where the ex-Chelsea star was keen to strengthen.
Huntington made 11 appearances for The Magpies, but has been allowed to move on by new manager Sam Allardyce.
Martin is thrilled to have joined Leeds and has no qualms about joining the club, despite their points deduction.
"I'm glad it's all gone through now," he told the club's official website. "I'm on top of the world to be signing for a club like Leeds.
"The 15 points doesn't mean anything, it's already down to minus six, and the players here have a good chance to make history."
Meanwhile, the Inland Revenue have dropped their legal challenge against Leeds' administrators KPMG, appearing to draw an end to the saga.
HM Revenue and Customs had been unhappy about the way the club was eventually sold back to chairman Ken Bates, although they will no longer be contesting the issue.
