Preston midfielder Alan McCormack has requested a move away from Deepdale.
A product of the youth team, McCormack has spent three spells on loan in order to gain first-team experience, including 28 games for Motherwell last year.
But having made only three appearances for Preston this season, the 22-year-old Irishman has become frustrated at a lack of opportunities and feels a transfer will benefit his career.
The request comes after the arrival of Tommy Miller on loan from Sunderland, which may further limit McCormack's opportunities, but boss Paul Simpson is yet to decide if he is willing to allow the youngster to leave.
