Preston are unsure how long goalkeeper Gavin Ward will be out for.Preston North End are unsure how long goalkeeper Gavin Ward will be out for after he picked up a facial injury on Friday.
Ward was caught in the face during Friday's 1-1 draw with Ipswich Town, and he was forced off the field after being knocked out for some time.
North End physio Andrew Balderston says that Ward has suffered bruising to his eye, and will need at least two weeks of full rest.
"He was in and out of consciousness for five minutes, which was why he was not moved and he suffered a cut on the top of the left eyelid, however, this did not need any stitches," Balderston told the club website.
"We've seen an eye specialist and he has suffered bruising on the back of the eye from the trauma.
"He is now unable to do anything for two weeks after which time he will then need further tests to determine the total length of time he will be out of football."
