Leeds United manager Kevin Blackwell has stated the club will not be making an improved offer for Preston's David Healy.

The Whites have tabled a number of bids for the Northern Ireland international with the latest package worth up to £600,000 also turned down by The Lilywhites.

Leeds are still keen to bring in striking reinforcements, but may look to bring in Healy for free next summer or turn their attention elsewhere.

Blackwell has stated the club's latest offer is still available to Preston, however the reaction from Deepdale would intimate North End want more for the striker.

"At the moment, we do not intend increasing the bid," said Blackwell.

"It is still there for Preston to look at and we feel it is very fair.

"It is still dragging on and we have to start looking at other players."
