Derby County's Johnny Russell has received a late call up to the Scotland squad for the games against the Republic of Ireland and England.

The change was announced by Scottish Football Association ahead of the European Qualifier against the Republic of Ireland on Friday and the friendly international with England the following Tuesday.

Former Dundee United forward Russell got the call on Sunday after Bryson pulled out with a hip injury.

The uncapped 24-year-old has scored four goals in his last four games, including a double in the 5-0 win over Wolves on Saturday.
