Owls first up for Rams

Nigel Clough: His Derby County side will face Sheffield Wednesday at home on the first day of the season

Derby County begin their 2012/13 Championship season with a home match against newly promoted Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday August 18.

Nigel Clough's men then travel north to play Owen Coyle's Bolton at the Reebok Stadium on Tuesday August 21 before wrapping up their August schedule with another away trip, this time to Wolves.

They travel to local rivals Nottingham Forest on Saturday September 29 with the reverse fixture at Pride Park scheduled for January 19.

Over Christmas and New Year the Rams are at home to Steve Bruce's Hull City on Saturday December 22 before a trip to Turf Moor to play Burnley on Boxing Day. Three days later they then travel south to play Charlton at The Valley.

Derby's first match of 2013 will be against Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium on New Year's Day.

In the season run-in the Rams are at home to Peterborough on Saturday April 20 before a trip to Blackpool seven days later.

They wrap up their regular Championship season with a home clash with Millwall on Saturday May 4.
