Duo still in talks with Coventry

Coventry remain in contract talks with defensive duo Richard Keogh and Martin Cranie, development director Steve Waggott has confirmed.

Keogh and Cranie yet to decide futures

Coventry remain in contract discussions with defensive duo Richard Keogh and Martin Cranie, development director Steve Waggott has confirmed. Keogh still has a year remaining on his current deal but the club are desperately keen to keep hold of their prized asset, as they are defensive partner Cranie, who is out of contract this summer. Coventry have so far rejected formal offers for Keogh from Bristol City and Cardiff, while a couple of other Championship clubs have enquired about his availability. Development director Steve Waggott told the club's official website: "It's my job to make it abundantly clear to them just how much we want to keep them here at Coventry City to help with our push next season. "Both have said the reception and support they have had from the fans has been great and they very much appreciate that. That and so many other factors will come into their thinking on whether they decide to sign new contracts. "The good thing is that we are talking and we will continue to do all we can to keep them here. They are both talented players and there will be interest in them but we are not thinking about that at the moment because our priority is to get them to stay at Coventry City."
