Blackpool have had a bid rejected for Northampton ace Michael Jacobs, Sky Sports understands.
The 20-year-old, who has come through the youth system at the Sixfields Stadium, has emerged as one of the brightest prospects in League Two.
Jacobs has attracted interest from a host of clubs from the Premier League down to League One.
Reading and Huddersfield were both linked with bids earlier this month, but now Blackpool have made their move.
However, Sky Sports understands Blackpool's initial bid for the midfielder has been turned down.
