Boss would like to extend Martin's loan spell at Selhurst Park

Crystal Palace manager Dougie Freedman admits he would like to extend Chris Martin's loan spell at Selhurst Park. Striker Martin, who joined the Eagles in November, scored his second goal in 10 appearances in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Leeds. The 23-year-old is due to return to parent club Norwich on February 4th but Freedman could attempt to keep hold of him for the remainder of the campaign. Freedman said: "With the performances he has shown, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out that I would try to keep him here. "But that is a conversation I will have with him at the end of the month."
