Burton manager Paul Peschisolido is interested in signing Derby goalkeeper Ross Atkins on loan after a trial period.
The England Under-19 international has been on trial during pre-season and Peschisolido is confident in the 21-year-old's ability. Peschisolido told the Burton Mail: "I think Ross has done a great job and I think we will look to keep him for the season. "It is difficult to say too much without having spoken to Ross or Derby County but I think he has looked sharp in training and has done well in the games as well." Burton have two pre-season games remaining against Solihull Moors and Derby with Peschisolido hoping to use them to finalise his choices for the new campaign. He added: "I will have another look at trialists in one of the games but I have not set myself a deadline as such to make decisions - that will be done when I am sure on them either way."
