Rovers extend Mendy loan

Derby County midfielder Arnaud Mendy will remain on loan at League One side Tranmere Rovers for another two months.

The 20-year-old has made six appearances for the club since moving to the Wirral at the end of August. He scored on his full debut to earn Les Parry's side a 1-0 win over Peterborough. Mendy has now signed an extension to keep him at Prenton Park until November 30. Parry is delighted to have extended Mendy's loan and told the club's official website: "Arnaud did well for us in his first month so I'm pleased to be able to keep him at the club. "He's big, strong and athletic, likes a tackle and is comfortable on the ball, so he's a good player to keep hold of. "I'd like to thank Derby manager Nigel Clough for allowing Arnaud to stay with us." Tranmere are currently 18th in the table and host league leaders Brighton on Saturday.
