Derby boss Nigel Clough is delighted to have completed the signing of striker Shefki Kuqi on loan from Championship rivals Swansea.
As first revealed by skysports.com, the Finland international has joined the Rams for three months and is in contention to start the game against Hull City on Tuesday night.
After injuries to Chris Porter and the sale of Rob Hulse to QPR, Clough needed more firepower after his side's 1-0 home defeat to Sheffield United at the weekend and is delighted with his capture.
"Shefki has been a potent threat against us in the past and now we hope he can do exactly the same in a Derby County shirt," he told the club's official website.
"He will give us a presence in attack. He is big, strong and has been a goalscorer wherever he has been."
Kuqi has a wealth of experience in English football having had spells at Ipswich, Crystal Palace and Blackburn.
