Brewers sign defender and goalkeeper on short-term loans
Burton Albion have completed a double swoop by signing goalkeeper Ross Atkins and defender Tom Parkes on loan.
Atkins moves on a month-long loan from Championship side Derby, having appeared for the Brewers in the Bass Charity Vase final against the Rams in pre-season.
He told the club's official website: "I came down here at the end of pre-season and played a few games here.
"It didn't work out then but luckily enough they've called me back in and got me on loan for a month.
Experience
"I said when I was here in pre-season that I always wanted to come back here so it's nice to be back."
Defender Parkes, 18, also joins the Pirelli Stadium outfit on a one-month loan from Leicester City.
The centre-half said: "I want to get experience of playing first-team football, and make my debut.
"I got the call from Leicester yesterday (Thursday) and they said they wanted me to come out on loan.
"I had no hesitation, I wanted to come straight away. I think I've got a good chance of playing football here."
