Rotherham United boss Mark Robins is hoping to hang on to teenage striker Reuben Reid over the summer.
Reid has scored 19 goals for the Millers since joining the club on a two-year contract from Brentford last year.
He has been linked with a £750,000 move to Derby County and was the subject of several offers during the January transfer window.
Robins is aware of the rumours surrounding the 19-year-old, but is keen to have the forward in his plans for next season.
"There is a lot of speculation over Reuben's future, but at this moment in time I am expecting him to walk through the door when we report back for pre-season training," said Robins in the Sunday Mirror.
"In football you never know, though. We shall have to wait and see what happens."
