Derby boss Paul Jewell wants to recall loan players to assess the strength of his squad

Nyatanga set to return to Pride Park

Derby boss Paul Jewell is to recall loan players to assess the strength of his squad as he bids to keep the Rams up. Defender Lewin Nyatanga, who is currently at loan at Barnsley, is set to return to Pride Park, despite Tykes boss Simon Davey having spoken of his desire to extend his loan spell. Jewell would also like to have a good look at other loanees Jon Macken (also at Barnsley), Mo Camara (Norwich), Bob Malcolm (QPR) and Michael Johnson (Sheffield Wednesday). He told the Derby Telegraph: "We will be bringing Lewin back and I want to give every player the opportunity to show me they are good enough to be here. "Things can change very quickly in football but I would like them all back to have a good look at them."
