The potential transfer of PSV Eindhoven's Mika Vayrynen to Derby County looks unlikely due to midfielder currently suffering with a calf injury.
The Rams were understood to have agreed a fee for the Finnish international with PSV and Vayrynen watched Derby's opening Premier League game against Portsmouth.
The 25-year-old was then expected to put pen-to-paper at Pride Park but the culmination of lengthy negotiations and Vayrynen's injury have could see the transfer being called off.
Meanwhile PSV's search for a replacement for Ivorian striker Arouna Kone continues but to no avail.
The Dutch side's interest in Milan Jovanovic has been dismissed by Standard Liege, the Serbian's current club are refusing to even negotiate over the availability of the striker.
PSV have also released Hungarian Csaba Feher a free transfer, the defender has now joined his former club NAC Breda.
